Weighing just 20g and crafted in Italy, this sensor is perfect for innovative projects that demand precision and reliability. ## Description The AMG8833 is a High Precision Infrared Array Sensor from Panasonic. It can detect temperatures on a two-dimensional area, 8 × 8 (64 pixels), in the range 0 °C to 80 °C with a typical accuracy of ±2.5 °C ±4.5 °F and can detect a human from a distance of 7 m or less. This breakout board includes a 3.3V regulator and level shifting circuitry, this makes it compatible with both 3.3V and 5V power and logic. The sensor communicates over I2C bus, the default address is 0x69. Soldering the jumper on the back of the board you'll set 0x68 as the I2C address. We developed two libraries, for Raspberry Pi (in Python3) and Arduino. The Python 3 library and some examples are available on the melopero GitHub page. The Arduino library is downloadable directly from the library manager of the Arduino IDE, or manually from our GitHub page. Check out schematics and datasheet for more technical specs.
