Silverware is either plated or real sterling silver, but are used more often for special occasions. Much more formal. We have a set that is only used twice a year. And as much as I love that set, I don't like the cleaning of sterling silver.Having a great flatware set that is not even close to cheap looking and is perfect for everyday use.This 20 piece it is absolutely beautiful, and it is perfectly plane and easy to dress up. I can just lay different placemats underneath them, and I can go from casual to formal very easy.They are beautifully designed and not overly heavy , but they do have a nice weight to to them.
