But I can tell you what the upsides are to this keyboard over the more expensive $120 Microsoft keyboards. You can choose the light's color of the keyboard. It connects via Bluetooth so it does not need to be attached to your computer. The downsides are: you need to charge it. (The Microsoft one gets power from the computer so it does not need to be charged separate to the computer). It might not last a long time. Overall, the benefit of this one over the cheaper ones you may have been looking at is the backlit keyboard. This is great for typing when it is dark and for having that higher tech feel to the experience. Personally, I found going with the Microsoft one was an investment, but at least I didn't have to deal with a broken keyboard after a few months. (I returned this one and got a refund thankfully). Whatever you choose to go with, if the Surface Pro is going to be traveling with you, make sure the keyboard covers the screen to protect it from scratches.
