Press and release the SYNC button (a little red button) inside the cover. The player LEDs will blink. Step 3. Open the SD card slot on the front of the Nintendo Wii console. (Blue & Pink, we already had the White & Black ones.) First one was using our older Black controller in a Kirby game. My 2-yr-old granddaughter picked up the Pink one and ended up activating it in the game...so I handed that off to one of the college kids. Then she was attracted by the Blue one, activated that one too...handed that off to her aunt to play Kirby. (Auntie took out a battery from the White one so it wouldn't activate a 4th player in the game.) The controls & buttons worked well on both new remotes. There were parts during play that the remote had to be shaken madly, so the "Plus" portion of the controller worked great! (Fun part was watching the 2-yr-old copy the older kids by shaking her White remote as she "played" the game with them.) This was my 2nd Wii Remote Plus - Pink . My 1st one was purchased on Amazon from an Amazon merchant. (Game Direct, now selling as GryoTek...DO NOT buy from them!) I sent that one back for a refund right away. (Ordered Fri, received Sat and filled out return form the same day) It was a very good copy. The A button felt "cheap" and it along with the cushy jacket were yellowed. The word "Pink" on the box was misspelled as "Bink". There were no batteries even tho' the box stated 2 AA batteries included, among other things. (pictures under the Pink remote posting) I ordered a 2nd Pink controller from Amazon right away on Sat, received it Mon and was able to make side by side comparisons before UPS picked up my return. My authentic remotes work wonderfully! Happy with all 4 of them.
