Some of the pieces are very fragile and you just need to be careful. The usb tends to get pushed in when plugging into the computer but not overly annoying. The size alone is enough to dissuade you from using it as it hangs off a good distance and generally blocks other close usb ports. It's a great novelty item though and I tend to store items on it that I don't need to retrieve often due to it's bulky nature.
