The OnStage QK-2C Quik-Release Microphone Clip Adapter is a chrome-finished, two-piece system designed for rapid attachment and removal of mic clips and booms on standard 5/8-27" threaded stands. ## Description

The On Stage Quick Release snaps on to your mic stand to instantly connect and disconnect mic holders and boom attachments. Simply screw the 2-piece Quick Release to the top of your mic stand, then attach your microphone holder to the Quick Release. During performance, you can push a button on the quick release to remove the mic and clip from the stand instantly so you can rule the stage! The Quick Release can also be attached between your mic stand and the mic boom for quick tear-down at the end of the gig. It's compatible with all mic stands, booms and mic holders with standard threads.

Review: Makes my studio life a wee bit easier - I love the OnStage mic quick release and own a half dozen, leaving them mounted on all my mic stands and mic clips. I can be ready to record in a few seconds rather than a few minutes. Build quality is excellent with brass components and sturdy construction. The main caution is you must be careful to align correctly so the spring loaded lock engages. Otherwise you mic will hit the deck with a little bump. It's very secure with normal use , i.e., won't fall off with little bumps and position adjustments. However, do not attempt to lift a mic stand via the mic or clip as the weight of a heavy stand will cause the release to, well, release. Probably not a good device for live performances since many vocalists will forget to lock it down properly in the heat of a performance. Finally, all the QK2B I bought during the last 3 years are fully compatible, i.e., I can mix the male and female parts and they fit precisely.
Review: On-Stage Quik-Release BEST quick release - I will die on this hill. - I love these. I've been using them since the late 90's and they are fantastic. Are there others? For sure. Are they better? Maybe. Are they priced as well as these and super reliable always? I say no... My ONLY gripe with these is that I need the female part of the clip at about a 5 to 1 ratio as much as I need the male part. I have way more microphones than I have stands, and I love to swap mics out. The good news is that you can buy the female part directly from On-Stage at their website. The bad part is they're kinda hidden and you really have to look for them and you can ONLY get them there as far as I know. On-Stage needs to sell this in a package with 1 male part and 3-5 female parts, or at least advertise them. Functionally amazing, logistically hard to find sometimes. And I like the black better than the chrome.
