**Q: Are these official BSA shirts, or just a good look-alike?**
A: It's more like a security guard shirt. It go a place for a badge to go on the chest so my guess is it's not a BSA official shirt. Oh by the way, it's polyester and is hot as all get out. It does not breath well at all. The sizes seem to run a little small. I like it but I wish I'd kept looking and found it in cotton.

A: I bought a extra large and it is a 17-17 1/2

It's true to size. It's comfortable. The thickness is just right without being too hot or too breezy. Great quality and weight. The color is just slightly off to match boy scouts without paying THEIR outrageous pricing. I'm not mad about it because he blends ok with the rest of the crew. Take a look for yourself, he's just a bit darker. I'm 'ok' happy with the style. As I said, he blends ok.

I ordered an XL. The National Patrol shirts that my security company issued were too bellowy in the mid section. These shirts were true to size and much better quality. The fit and feel are exactly what I was looking for. Perfect duty shirt. For reference, I am 6'2" and about 235 lbs. Not an athletic build, but not full beer gut either. I would and did buy this shirt again.
