There were many secrets, lies, betrayals, hidden agendas, mysteries, suspense, and intriguing twists. It's certainly a story and series that you'll want to read!I have always loved this author's work, and had decided to catch up on some of them. Purely by accident I selected a book that ended up being the first in this series, which I'm not usually as lucky, and I usually end up starting a series in the middle. Lol! Anyway, I honestly had no idea that this was even a series, because none of the books are linked together as such except for after you request a sample, purchase, or borrow the book, and then it shows the next book in the series (at least after the second book it does this). I loved the first book in the series, and I am glad that there were more books to make up this series.If you haven't already read them, I would highly recommend that you start with Cut and Run, Hide and Seek, and then this book. There is another book after this one too. The first three books in the series are absolutely fantastic, and you definitely won't be disappointed!I would definitely recommend this book, series, and exceptional author.I have to say that it's stories like these that make you appreciate all of the Law Enforcement, local and federal, so much more for all that they do, as well as everything they sacrifice in order to do their jobs, and try making the world a better place for everyone.
