Review: Maslow: Saw it clearly ahead of his time. - What's to say. Maslow was a genius. He writes from a Western psychological perspective what has been known in Eastern thought for centuries. Now there is more of a bridge between the two, but no one has picked up the torch. I hope this happens, but self-actualization is a complex multi-faceted construct to study. I recommend you hypothesize what makes developed, self-actualized person, then see what matches up from Maslow's description. I think you'll be surprised at what you can see, and what corresponds to Maslow's writing. With careful reflection, I think we can intuit where self-actualization inevitably leads. Unfortunately, this doesn't mean its any easier to test empirically.

What's to say. Maslow was a genius. He writes from a Western psychological perspective what has been known in Eastern thought for centuries.
