Review: Dont even try polish stamping without the konad stamper! - Out of everything you need to become a great nailart specialist, or "stamper" this is the one thing there is NO Substitute for! While you can use different stamping plates or do it free hand, use different brands of nail polish, or use a business or playing card as the scraper the one thing you NEED to become a great nail stamper and can't do without is the stamping tool. And you can't do any better than the konad brand and I wouldn't even try. Whether it is one or two sided the konad stamper is the one item you can't do without. Some people who are a little timid think it might be easier if they start out by using one of the new sliding "stamping" machines they have come out with. I was one of them. But it actually seemed to make it more complicated and harder to stamp. The best thing is to jump in with "both hands"and start out by using the stamper. You actually have more control over where you put the stamp. On the other hand the scraper really isn't as necessary or that great. You can use a business card or a playing card and it will scrape off the excess polish just as well or (for me) better than the scraper that comes with this. You need something hard and stiff...um ...preferably not metal. Although metal scrapers work great they also will scratch the stamping plates. The more they get scratched the less of a clean stamping design you get and eventually it will ruin them. The plastic one that comes with this works but it has there are little ridges and corners etc that collect the polish and even after scraping it, it's still doesn't come clean. A lot of people I know like to use plain paper towel to clean off the plates. So I think you'll find something that you will prefer over another. No matter what you decide to do remember that this is like everything you try to do in life...It takes time and practice to get good at it. Get your kids or grandkids involved, telling them you want to do their nails. They aren't as picky about something being perfectly even or straight as we are when we get a little older. Don't give up, be patient with yourself and most of all have fun. That's the reason for doing this isn't it? BUT TAKE THE WORD OF AN ADDICTED STAMPER....DONT DO IT WITHOUT YOUR KONAD STAMPER!!! That's the one tool you need to guard with your life because without the stamper you just can't stamp. Period.
Review: Great Quality Stamper - I like the quality of this stamper, and I did receive a Konad brand, I'm not sure why others did not. As others suggested here I used an old store card instead of the metal scraper, I've never used it as the idea of it did not appeal to me. The store card will still leave marks on your plate, but only very fine marks where you scrap it, and nothing at all that will mess up your image. I appreciate that the stamper itself is double sided and have used that to my advantage. Also it's worth mentioning that the rubber ends of the stamper can be pulled out, if you need them to for whatever reason. One time I put the rhinestones that I was going to use for a friends manicure in there, that way all I had to do was open up the stamper, it came in handy, so there's an idea. You wouldn't want to put anything too heavy in there of course as it would push the ends off. That's really all I say about this product other then some quick tips about doing stamping itself. I have found that it IS best to clean off the stamper between stamping even if its just collected dust, it will help. Then when you go to pick up an image make sure you do the process quick, paint, scrap, then roll your stamper over it with a firm steady hand. You have a small amount of time to position the image after you have it on the stamp, but don't wait too long as the image is so thin it will dry fast and probably mess up when you go to put it on. I've found if you figure out a way that is best for you, stamp that way every time, to reduce the time it takes. I was having trouble with stamping until I got down a system where I could do it quickly, that really helped. Also be careful not to press the hard edges of the stamper into your nail if it's still drying, as it will dent your polish. Once the image is on the nail make sure you're very careful about putting on a top coat as that can smudge your image. I hope this review helped. Happy Stamping!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: does this come with image plates**
A: No it does not just the stamper and scraper

**Q: Do I have to use konad stamping plates or can I use other brand stamping plate?**
A: You can use any brand of stamp plates. But know that some plates are not etched as deeply as others and the images will not transfer as well.

**Q: Why doesn't my stamp work with shany nail art image plates**
A: I am not sure, are those the only brand of bail stamping plates you have? And what kind of polish do you use!

**Q: Do you do the stamping after you have finished doing the gel polish process or before doing top coat?**
A: I've never used gel polish but always top coat after stamping.. so if you top coat the gel, then stamp, top coat again

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy to use. Super cute and fun!
*by D***M on March 6, 2020*

I bought this stamper and some plates a few months ago to play with. I had one when I was a teenager and it was my favorite thing but back then it was clunky and huge! This one is so nice it is small and works great. I just messed around a little the other night and put random ones on each nails. It was really easy to do. I did find that some polishes did not work so well. Pure Ice seemed to worked really well. Solid white. No glitter. I did use an overlay for emphasis after the stamp but some of it got smudged. Note to self.. use Seche Vite https://smile.amazon.com/Seche-Vite-Clear-Crystal-Misc/dp/B00770JW9Q/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=seche+vite&qid=1583533634&sr=8-1 after the stamp application color to save it! I discovered that using the blue film from the plates works great at removing the polish from the stamper once it is dry. I attached some photos of the blue film I am talking about. Save that film when you take it off your plates!! Any tape would probably work but you already have that blue film and it is a little sticky so why not use it!
