But with this outfit, just stick with your usual size. It isn’t that the larger size is unwearable or unflattering — in fact, it is quite roomy and comfortable, but it lacks that form-fitted look (particularly, in the arms and chest, since the style of the waist and hip is loose and flowy anyway) that I was going for. The fabric has a lot of give, and feels really soft and buttery to the touch. Yet, it is also surprisingly thick and not at all see through (at least the color I picked). It feels more like a good quality cotton-spandex mix rather than a polyester+spandex fabric. In my opinion, this style of dress works well for ladies who are small in the chest and arms but need help hiding their belly fat (post-partum, particularly). The length and is very modest - hits me halfway between my ankle and knees.Do note that the yellow is quite bright & cheery (exactly as shown in image), and may be more appropriate as summer wear. But, if you’re like me, you could pair it with tall boots or booties and a classy coat and make your winter wardrobe more interesting (who says winter clothes have to be boring?!) :) Overall, this dress is far from frumpy. Pair it with accessories or wear it as is - in the correct size - and you can’t go wrong.Update: I also purchased this outfit in the floral pink2 and small polka dots in red, in a size S. These fit perfectly, just the way I’d envisioned it. The fabric is stretchy alright, but surprisingly, neither as buttery soft nor thick as the yellow floral, which I believe is cut from a completely different type of fabric altogether.
