I am a mom in my 30s who did this alone while my kiddo was napping. If I can do this without help, so can you. I followed all the other crazy reviews on here and ended up rewiring the first light only to realize there was absolutely no reason to. To make your life easier, here are the instructions for the plug in:Step 1: throw the instructions away. They are garbage unless you are planning on hardwiring at some point in the future (I am so I kept one copy).Step 2: take the bracket off the back of the fixture. Everything I’m pointing to in the last photo is extra (it’s used for hardwiring).Step 3: pre-drill and install the anchors. Use the bracket and take the two machine screws (the flat tips) that were holding it on to the fixture (I took off the nuts) and put them away from the wall and use the washers to screw the bracket into the anchors (see third picture).Step 4: Attach the front of the light fixture to the wall with the little silver thingies (that’s a technical term - look it up if you don’t believe me).The rest is pretty self explanatory.It doesn’t come with bulbs.I love the look.You’re welcome. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ BEAUTIFUL!!! but sucky instructions *by S***M on Reviewed in the United States on April 12, 2018* This is a BEAUTIFUL sconce lamp! I really really love it, however I'm only giving it 4 stars because the instructions SUCK. It took my husband 2 hours to wire and put up two of these lamps. The instructions only have instructions for the wall wire hook ups. Not for the lamp hook ups. If they did have the lamp hook ups and we are just dumb at reading instructions then they need to do a better job at separating the instructions for both from each other but I''m 99% positive the instructions didn't have the lamp hook up instructions. We had zero clue how to wire them and I was worried that we could only use them in the wall hook ups. We did figure it out that these CAN be used as lamps not just through a wall socket. Other than the instructions sucking, it really is a beautiful product and I would buy again and will recommend but will warn about the instructions. If you have someone in your family who understands electricity they would be good to call and ask for help. The quality is excellent and you really can’t beat the price. Especially since it’s designed to be a hardwire sconce, but comes with everything you need to convert it to a plug in. It’s a one size fits all situation. As renters we opted for the plug in version, but when we eventually move into a place of our own we can easily swap these back into a hardwire.Yes, as other reviewers stated, the instructions are worthless. But considering the wiring is clearly labeled, the rest isn’t much of a gamble to piece together. Just requires some patience and a Google search or two- a comparable trade off for the cash you save. I also just put a basic 60 watt bulb in as Edison bulbs can get pricey and we didn’t have any on hand. I don’t think it takes away from the aesthetic at all.We used these as bed-side lamps and even my husband is a fan. I think they are just the right size to complement a headboard and serve as a side table lamp.
