The poor goats were stomping and kicking in pain. Haven't used it on my dairy goats because they enjoy pain-free milking by hand. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Honest Review *by K***E on Reviewed in the United States on May 27, 2015* I've had this battery unit now for about a month, but due to a family emergency, I've only been using it now for about two weeks. There are a couple of quirks that I feel need to be mentioned. The first is, if you view the u-tube video on how to use the milker, the video clearly shows the goat in the demo stomping repeatedly. It wasn't till I began using the machine that I realized the suction was extremely uncomfortable and the only way to relieve the discomfort is to gently release the suction at the teat. Your goat STOMPING means it hurts and they don't like it! So, letting off the suction by releasing the power button will stop any further suction, but if that current amount of suction is to great, you'll have to release the pressure on the teat yourself. Also, the video was very unclear about what to do when one teat was empty before the other. Thus the teat plug that is included with the pump! You NEED to plug the teat cup once you've removed it so that you can continue milking. I've been finding the milking machine gets about 85% of the milk from my does, and then I've got to finish them off by hand. The teats by this point are somewhat swollen and this seems to prevent the remainder of the milk from flowing, I believe this is why I have to finish it off by hand. I'm getting anywhere from 2 to 4 oz's per goats after using the milker. I have found a rythem with milking my goats, one is to like I mentioned earlier, gently release the teat, watch to be sure the teat cups do not become back logged with milk, so if letting off the power button doesn't slow the flow down enough, you will have to gently release the suction on the teat to empty the cup out and relieve the suction pressure. I'd like to see a better power button set up, as trying to place the cups on teats that are shooting out on both sides of the goat is a bit of a challenge when you have small hands and are holding a teat cup and the pump in a single hand!! Also, I feel the pump case isn't the sturdiest, because when u are struggling to place the teat cup on and holding the pump to and then the goat shifts and stomps for whatever reason and the unit goes flying to the floor, the case has loosened already. I will most likely have to reinforce the case to be sure it doesn't split completely apart here shortly.
