He has done some leather working in the past and wanted a kit with more tools. I was surprised at how many items they fit in this case. He was very excited to receive this kit. My only suggestion would be to plan on buying a separate organizer. All of the items are loose in this kit - there is nothing holding items in place like you would normally see in a mechanics tool kit. Our instructor gave us a list of basics, including a tool kit recommendation from a major hobby store. The major hobby store kits failed all of us (mislabeled and missing tools) hahah! I purchased this one in a pinch. The variation of tools in a case with a basic instructional booklet (and overnight delivery) sold me. This kit was great to take to class the next morning & matched the quality of tools that my instructor provided during class. The plastic case is too small for everything to fit properly. When I’m finishing up a project, the last thing I want to do is puzzle and Tetris together my kit. I really like that it included the stamps. You'll need a hole punch and mallet separately but harbor freight can help you with that under $10. All in all this kit comes the closest to everything you'll need for the price. There are kits with more tools and features but they cost more and sometimes you just get more stuff you won't need.
