It worked fine at first but after a couple of months it has stopped working twice. I changed the battery and it still wouldn't turn on the unit. The next day I tried again and it worked. ### ⭐ Not as advertised *by T***N on August 21, 2022* When I ordered this item I was very careful to check to see if my ac was on the list of the ones it was compatible with. It was. If you call only turning it on and off compatible then someone has a misunderstanding of the meaning of the word. Although it also adjusted the temperature of the ac up and down, there was about a ten degree difference in what it said on the remote and what it said on the ac. For those who complained about not being to change the remote between Fahrenheit and Celsius I accidentally found that if you press the temperature up and down buttons at the same time it will change from one to the other. All in all I don't need a remote to just turn the unit on and off.
