## Questions & Answers

**Q: how does it connect to my router or cable modem? i don't see a main internet line conection.**
A: Like others said here, I just connected it from my existing router into the first plug on this switch and it worked like magic. I used about 80feet of Cat-6 wire with the RJ45 end and have no loss in internet speed.

**Q: Can you assign an IP address to this ethernet switch?**
A: No.  This is an unmanaged switch.

**Q: Is this compatible with Time Warner services in New York city?**
A: Yes.

**Q: How often do you lose connection and have to reset the "switch" by unplugging power & plug back in? Thank you**
A: I am not able to with 100% certainty tell you that it's this switch (the 16-port version) that's causing me to lose connectivity in one area of the office, but I feel that it might be the culprit.  Other areas not hooked to the switch are unaffected.  I've had to unplug and power down/up the device a number of times.
