Jurassic Park Dino Showdown Allosaurus Assault

Very hot item! glad i bought it when i did, because it sold out quickly. It comes with Dino Damage piece inside box which you can place over to cover wound, also comes with some array of weapons, the Allosaurus' mouth opens and closes and when you move his arm his head moves side to side. very cool JP Figure

the toy was super awsom. my kid play with it all the time. she collects them and was happy to get it. i have no complaints.

it was the best gift so far for his birthday he enjoys it and is wanting more so have to look in to that

Generally speaking the quality of the Jurassic Park products has declined from the toys released after the first movie. The showdown Allosaurus and Pachyrhinosaurus are notable exceptions. Apparently these were a limited release that went with the re-release of the original movie (20th anniversary) so they are a hot item. Originally $30 at Toys-BackwardR-Us, they are going for upwards of $69 on eBay. The other releases are repaints of earlier and smaller models (T-Rex and Velociraptor with "noise") but the showdown models are unique.The only previous Allosaur in the JP brand was the one in the "vet kit" and that one is no where near as nice as this one. They must have taken a hint from the "Papo" model because it is similar. Interesting paint job and the only distraction is the "bolt" that attaches the moveable mouth. One would think there was a better way of doing this feature (again, see the Papo model).If you are a collector, this is a must have. One last note: the art on the side of the box is wonderful and an overlooked complement to the whole package.

An absolutely beautiful dinosaur. I purchased this with a few other figures, not really caring much about the Allosaurus. When I finally opened it up you see how detailed the figure is. A beautiful paint job really compliments this figure, and bring out all the details of the sculpt. But what really set it apart is the articulation. Prior Jurassic Park toys had cool rubbery dino-skin, and nice attention to detail with the paint and face sculpt. But they never had any real articulation. That's were the 2013 Allosaurus shines, it legs, feet, neck, arms, head, and jaws all have nice tight joints that allow the figure to be posed very nicely. Also no unsightly screws show on this figure, a real collectible! By far the best Dinosaur Hasbro has, and probably will ever, produce. The new Jurassic World line of figures are complete junk COMPARED to this figure. As a toy and collectible piece this figure absolutely rocks!!!
