Review: Outstanding inserts. Anti fatigue, anti shock - I own two pair of these. One pair for my work boots (12 hour factory shifts) and the other pair in my running shoes. These things really help eliminate the foot pain that comes from shock or from being on my feet for too long. They are a vast improvement over the old "green" walker/runner. This cradles my foot and gives me lots of support and cushioning. With a better platform to stand on I actually feel better overall. It's like an infusion of new life into my feet. (A very small but noticeable effect). I am over 50 so I need every bit of help I can get. My feet are also less tired and there is a minor reduction in knee pain. These things are thick. The heel is 7.5mm [0.30"] and the forefoot is 6.8mm [0.27"]. That is only a heel to toe drop of about 1mm, which I like. I think most people will have trouble getting a good fit in their shoes because it takes up so much space. I have no trouble with my work boots but my Asics are a tight fit and I have to wear thinner socks. My foot is fairly thin with a medium low arch. I also have a new pair of the Spenco Cross Trainer. The Cross Trainer has a very tall and narrow heel that makes the whole shoe unstable. Very easy to turn your ankle with that insert. (which I did) The heel is a full 13.21mm [1/2"] tall and the forefoot is 5.5mm [1/4"]. Too much heel to toe drop in the cross trainer for me. The Walker Runner is much more comfortable and stable to use. This is my tenth year using Spenco inserts and I like these the best by far. Oct. 2015 I am on my 3rd pair of these and I still love them. In my work boots their estimated life is about a year. They are so thick that they take up all the head room in the toe box of all my other shoes. So much so that I only use them for the work boots.

**Q: What if my shoe size is 8.5 Womens? Better to order 7-8 or 9-10?**
A: The Women's 9-10 would probably be your best bet.  It is better to have an insole that is a little too long and properly cradles your heel than one which is too short and narrow.  The insoles are trimmable; if the insoles are a little long, you can trim the length to fit your shoe (video demonstration of trimming an insole: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7QOh1S_2x1k ).

**Q: how much space do they taek up in your shoe?**
A: Based on my use of these inserts for the past ten years, they take up an additional 1/2 a shoe size. If your normal shoe size is let say 10, go up to a 10 1/2 for the use of these insoles.

**Q: will mens size work for womens size 11**
A: A women's size 11 will be a men's size 10.  These are unisex, so there is no difference in width.  You will need a women's 11-12 which is also a men's 10-11.  They can be trimmed to accommodate the lower size.

**Q: Which is better superfeet green or spenco polysorb walker/runner athletic? which one has the thicker forefoot?**
A: I have never tried superfeet green, but I have tried spenco polysorb as well as the doctor scholls active series.  This is something that you may have to experiment with and try different insoles.  You are already better off by replacing the stock insoles that come with the shoes.  Not everyone has the same foot or the same foot issues, so this will be a choice that is highly individualistic.  Something that works for me, might not work for someone else.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Long lasting and super-comfortable

These are super-comfortable. I put them in all my shoes except dress shoes. I've been using these for years and they generally last as long as my shoes staying very cushioning the whole time. I put them sneakers, walking shoes, dance sneakers and work shoes. I used to have trouble under the balls of my feet - sometimes bruising, calluses, and pain. These have cured that. The foam rubber is very thick and firm so my foot doesn't compress it all the way even if I jump. The type of foam they use doesn't flatten from use until they get pretty old. I write the date with a sharpie on the bottom so when they feel like they should be changed I look to see how long they lasted. I usually get 1.5 to 2.5 years out of them. The downside to them is that they are pretty thick and may not fit in every shoe. When I go to buy shoes, I put an insole inside in place of the original one to make sure I can use these in new shoes I'm considering. If not, I don't buy the shoe.
