It separates out the juice and pulp into one container, and seeds and skins into the other. It is not as fast as we had hoped, but works for our purposes, and not as messy as the hand crank I had. As it turns out I ended up with a second one, new, that I'd like to sell. **Q: is this 220 volt or 110?** A: the item was 110 . I followed the directions and cored and cut up my tomatoes. However after the second use the plastic piece that holds the screens was cracked and fell apart. I contacted the company and luckily it was within the one year warranty. After several phone calls I finally received a replacement piece in the mail for free. I have used the product again however I blanched the tomatoes and chilled them before putting them through. However this didn't help, after two uses the plastic housing cracked again. We received second one which was definitely packaged from factory. After first use of approx. 20 mins, it kept shutting off and I believe resetting a circuit breaker and working for a short time . My decided it needs to be returned and took it apart to clean it before returning and found the same inner parts with cracks in them,same as the first machine.
