The author appears to be a non-professional artist who enjoys life drawing in NYC, and he has assembled a few thoughts, pointers and diagrams on that subject. None of these is terrifically original, but on the other hand I did really enjoy the author's forceful and confident drawing style in the many figure studies throughout the book—there's a real power and dynamism here that's inspiring in itself. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ プロポーション・解剖学・ライティング *by M***A on Reviewed in Japan on 1 September 2016* ５３ページ程の薄い本だが、内容は素晴らしい。表紙は、男の人物像だが、内容は女性の作品が多い。最初に、人物の筋肉の位置の説明（ヴァイオレットで色付け）裸婦の各プロポーション・アナトミー・光と影で明暗を付けている。各パーツをブロック別に描いて人物を説明している。各パーツとパーツの繋がりの説明図が掲載されている。様々な人物の動きを優れたラインで対象を的確に捉えている。有名なダビンチのプロポーションの作品も掲載されている。中には、皮膚を這いで筋肉図だけで描いてある作品もある。途中に骨格・筋肉図の正面・側面図の作品が掲載されている。腕・足・骨格・筋肉図の説明も掲載。様々ポーズで、豊富な男女のプロポーションが掲載されて勉強になる。作品には、スレンダ―の女性から、肉塊の様なモデルさんも掲載されているが骨格・筋肉の位置がシッカリ捉えられている。プロポーションと、解剖学と、ライティングを見事に捉えた作品集である。最後に、顔の各パーツの位置、比率の説明、面取りで人物の顔を説明している。そして、女性の半身像正面・側面・着衣の作品が掲載されている。 ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A very decent and compact instructional book *by T***0 on Reviewed in the United States on 6 May 2016* Good for beginners and a nice compact set of reminders for more experienced artists. The author obviously loves his subject, and has provided a book of drawings that he has made in figure drawing sessions, with brief commentary and some explanatory schematic diagrams.
