I bought mine back in 1994 when I became a Christian and I am buying two more today for a friend and my son who is coming to the age where he will be needing more "meat" this Bible is not only the inspired word of God but it contains the tools we need in order to look up subjects and find scriptures. quick and easy right on hand when you need them. It is a top rate reference bible - if you have this - you really could make it the rest of your christian walk with no other reference. Basically it's not ment to give you someone elses point of view, but only to help you FIND the scriptures you need in your daily life. If you're dealing with parenting issues - you look up the subject of parenting or family in the reference part and it will give you the SCRIPTURES that pertain to this subject. You then can read Gods word about this subject - not someones oppinion. Or if you have a friend who would like to know more about baptism - you could look up baptism in the refernce and it will give you SCRIPTURES about this subject that you can look up. IT's GREAT!I can't speak highly enough about The Thompson Chain Reference Bible - As I stated above - it was and IS the best investment I have ever made in my christian life. I am so greatful for it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Excellent Study Bible *by W***M on Reviewed in the United States on June 20, 2015* The Thompson Chain Reference Bible is an excellent edition of the Bible. There are numerous study helps, but they let the Bible speak for itself. Often times biblical commentary is biased and tells more about the translators and their opinions than explaining the meaning of passages; this is not a problem in this edition. Moreover, the physical quality is also excellent. The leather feels soft but durable, the binding is solid and I have had no problems with loose pages or anything of the sort. The index tabs stay firmly in place. In addition, the book includes a ribbon marker to keep place. I own many study Bibles and many different Bible translations and I would rate this among the best. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Study Bible Love it! BUT Wrong Color *by E***D on Reviewed in the United States on May 27, 2008* I love the Study Bible. In fact I've owned many and continue to buy them on the internet! (I'm a Pastor)The only problem with this purchase, is, they didn't specifically tell me it was "purple" my "son" loved everything but the color!(It was a birthday present) He didn't want to return it because it was such a great buy!Again, I highly recommend the Thompson Chain Reference Bible, for anyone interested in a "non-biased" study Bible!
