Review: 2007 Jetta rear door actuator fit perfect. - Works great. Replaced an intermittent lock that went bad. Would not recommend installing if you don’t have experience working on cars. Outer door skin has to be completely removed to replace old actuator. Dust shield and small 2” cable needs to be reused from old actuator. Test new latch BEFORE you close the door. :)
Review: Good part - Great replacement part. It solved my door lock issues on my 09 sportwagen. The emergency, manual lock lever (red part in the picture of original part) is different than the original. The lever will still function, but it will be more difficult to operate through the hole in the frame. Hopefully I will never need to use it 🙂 Note: when testing this part, be sure to have both the lock actuator and the window motor units plugged in, as the lock won't function properly without the brains in the window motor unit. I learned this the hard way.

It fits like OEM. The first one I ordered came broken, but my replacement was good. Not as smooth moving as the OEM part but it gets the job done. I put this on the back driver side door of my 2002 VW Golf TDI MK4. It does kind of suck to put on but it isnt the part's fault.
