I have the hazard 4 photo freelance pack .** A: Yes it takes up a narrow space down the center of your back **Q: Can this hydration pack double as a trail running and a MTB solution?** A: I don't think it would work well for running since there is no lower belt/strap to stabilize pack when running. **Q: Will it hold large water bottle in the side pockets ?** A: I can barely get a spare tube to fit in those pockets. A small water bottle maybe. **Q: Is this waterproof?** A: Not even a little. its has a HUGE hole in the top of the bag ... the water bag is water proof but the pack is not. - there is a little pouch at the top of the bag for key and wallet. That may repel some light rain but i dont think its water proof.
