Took off the original two barrel and installed this adapter and an Edelbrock 1406 4 barrel carb. But if you put a 2 barrel It better be a high performance 2 barrel.. **Q: I have a 83 gm 2.8L v6 will this fit the intake to allow me to go to a 4brl from a 2?** A: It should fit since it has mounting holes for either standard bore, or spread bore carbs. Again, big issue will be what carb you’re trying to mount on it. I changed out a 600 4 barrel to a 390 2 barrel . Smooth idle and tons of power. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Carb adapter *by D***D on January 10, 2026* Great product, very much so needed. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 2 barrel to 4 only *by A***T on May 7, 2023* I bought to adapt a small bolt pattern 2 bbl to a large, Holley or Motorcraft, 2 bbl. And it didn’t work for that. It was a well made unit with a die casting that fit the nuts into the hex holes.
