These are the real drop they sell in the Netherlands. If you like the sweet, soft licorice they sell in the US (for example the twizzlers or the ones labelled Australian licorice) you might not like these ones. These have a very strong taste and they are hard. Not appropriate for small children - my son chocked on one when he was 1 yr old! So keep them away from the little ones. But I give it 5 stars because they are the drop you buy in Holland. Now we don't have to ask people to bring us some when they go there. The price is also very reasonable as you get 4 bags and they go a long way.

I ordered these because I already knew that I like them so I can't say that there were any surprises there.They were shipped and received quickly and, although I can get them cheaper, I didn't want to wait.If you like real licorice that is firm and a little salty, you will probably like these. If you think that Twizzlers are good black licorice, then you probably won't.

These are good, but I prefer the flavor of the 'button' licorice. These have a slightly bitter aftertaste.

If you love Dutch licorice, then buy these! Yum!!!

Buyer should be made aware that these are "salty" flavor. Most American whimps like me find the chemical flavor of these disgusting. Don't know the nutritional value of Ammonium chloride, but I do know that the seller should let the purchaser know they are salty, not sweet.

I am from the Netherlands and I love liquorice. It is good for some illnesses as well. The price is a little high compared to what my daughter paid for it. She sent it to me from Afghanistan, while stationed there. Is there a special price for a certain quantity because I want to order more in the near future.

I didn't realize these would be soooooo salty. They're good - I certainly won't be able to binge on them, so that's good. For the salty licorice fans, these should be perfect. I'll eat them - and enjoy them (a few at a time) - but I think I'll go back to the cats next time.

Dutch Farm Animal Shaped Black Licorice - taste good. Have fun eating different shapes of this licorice. Not salty and is fresh and taste good. I recommend this 4 bag purchase. We buy mostly as a treat. I highly recommend this product.
