The packaging was clear and self-explanatory with the directions listed on the back. Step one suggests rolling the ear plugs into a ball before placing them in your ear. I didn't do this and had no issues getting the ear plugs to mold the outer canal of my ear. After I got the ear plugs in, they did a pretty good job at keeping out sound, but not completely (I know their purpose is not to block sound, but water). I tested these in the shower and there was no water that entered my ears. They are comfortable, easy to use, easy to wear, and reusable. The case included in the package is portable and able to fit two sets of ear plugs. It's nice to have a back up pair just in case.
