Review: Works As Expected - I purchased this to replace an older Snap-It brand that is apparently out of business. It functions the same with the same wiring. The only thing experienced that threw me a curve was the Eaton has a Dusk-to-Dawn feature that causes the light to stay on at night. The instructions indicate in the trouble shooting section that in that situation, it is in the Dusk-to-Dawn mode, but nowhere else in the instructions is Dusk-to-Dawn mode mentioned let alone how to even get into that mode. I found that omission in the instructions a little disconcerting as it caused me a period of difficulty as the older Snap-It had no such feature although the units are essentially identical in looks. I didn't subtract a star for that but that is something Eaton should fix in their instructions because with some unknown sequence of operation of the switch, it activates the Dusk-to-Dawn feature although if it is in that mode, you turn it off for 40 seconds to exit that mode. Nice, but how does it get in that mode? I have no need for that Dusk-to-Dawn feature as the unit runs a relay and not the lights themselves and I have a manual switch that will turn them on or turn it off or turn the auto switch on for automatic function.
Review: Great sensor!! - Excellent sensor, I installed behind my shed with two 65W lamps 10 feets apart from the sensor. The sensor works better than I thought, get me 180* far away. Also gets rabbits and little animals around the area. I was tired of buying junk from Home Depot, they all cheap, so I decided to build my own with this sensor in the middle. No problem with rain and snow, the manual recommend set it up facing the ground. Easy to set up, attached the black to power from the breaker and the red to the black from the lamps plus the neutrals and ground. Manual is clear and easy to read. Note . I bought this sensor second time and I notice the material is different, the plastic broke but I managed to set it up with two yellow lights. The first one I got still picking up cats, dogs all night long.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Hi. The installation diagram does not exist. Only a bad figure in the manual. May I have a clear installation instructions or diagram, please?**
A: I agree with you. I also did not find it very clear. My advice is to pay close attention to what to what is written not the diagram. It is very easy to install incorrectly otherwise. Also before you remove faulty sensor - not how the wires are attached and label them before removing. That way you can install replacement without instructions. Finally - new time delay switch is touchy. I would set it to middle position. Good luck.

**Q: has temperature compensation?**
A: It may have temp compensation but locating it over an opening that is venting a pool area is beyond what the design is set up for. Ron

**Q: Does it work with regular led lights or only with dimmable leds?**
A: This sensor works similar to a simple on and off switch. If it is dark and motion is detected it turns on. After a set period of time it shuts off. The load is irrelevant as long as it does not exceed 300 watts. So yes, this will work with both dimmable and nondimmable LED bulbs however, you will not be able to dim the dimmable bulbs.

**Q: Where is the unit screwed in to? Thanks..**
A: This is not intended to screw into a light socket as you seem to surmise. It is intended to be attached to a knockout hole in an electrical box (either indoor or outdoor). You will then attach its wires to power and the lights to be controlled within the box in accordance with the instructions in the package. If you are not comfortable with home wiring, then I suggest you have the unit installed by an electrician. Adjustment of these devices is tedious to ensure that detection of what you want to detect (presumably persons) is detected and what you do not want detected (leaves in the wind, animals, noise, etc.) is not detected. This involves orienting the fixture and adjusting the sensitivity; this is a two-person job with whatever ladder you need to reach the device as it is installed. You may find that you need more than one sensor to do the job; it's just not possible to have a reliable detection region that is wide and thin. And, it cannot detect around corners. Good luck.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great sensor!!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just what I wanted.
*by A***5 on April 22, 2017*

It is not without it's faults but it works perfectly for me. It seems as though there is a two second or so delay before the sensor triggers the lights, that is fine with me as I am protecting a 50' long driveway, so there is plenty of time for the delay to time out. I think this may even be a plus as it should cut down on false triggers like birds flying by. Another issue is the short neck that attaches it to the light fixture base, I would rather have a longer angled neck so that the sensor is completely below the light sockets. This one mounts directly in between the 2 light sockets, I was worried they would block the view of the sensor, but I have such a narrow area that it is watching, it did not affect my installation. I also bought 2 18W (100W incandescent equivalent) LED spots to use with it, now I'm afraid planes flying by may mistake my driveway for the airport. I keep my work truck in the driveway, my money maker, and if anyone wants to pry on it now, they can do it in broad daylight. Peace of mind at a fair price, better than spending at least twice as much for a new fixture, how can I complain?
