Love the nano slim discreet size of this thermometer. It is very accurate. The only aspect I didn’t think of until I noticed afterwards was the red areas of the thermometer are very bold and somewhat distracting in our style of tank. Would be nice if they made that part a dark royal blue like some other brands do. Still a decent thermometer though.

Garbage! Get what you pay for but this costs twice as much as a regular aquarium thermometer. Will never buy The thermometer is stuck at 80 degrees F. I dont even have a heater. See the two thermometers in my picture to compare. Notice that all the other pictures in the reviews are all set to 80 except a few. If you look close - There are some black debris in the neck of the thermometer.The temperature does go down when put it on ice but jumps back to 80 before i can even put it back into the tank. Don’t get ripped off and buy one in-person at your LFS.

This little guy is small enough to not be obnoxious in a smaller aquarium. I have a Fluval Edge tank and wanted to be able to read the temp readily, without having a thermometer that would be an eye-sore. I hate putting the 'digital' types on that use adhesive; if you go to remove them, there's a residue to deal with, which is not at all to my liking. This has a sturdy suction cup and is easy to read. So that it would be both functional and out of the way, I put it on the top of my tank in a back corner, making it completely invisible unless I'm looking down into the tank. For me, this is perfect.It doesn't have any frills and the numbers are truncated, so if you need something that says "80, 81, 82, etc" this is not for you. However, for my purposes it's perfect. You have tick marks between single digit numbers, so it isn't hard at all to figure out the temp while keeping the thermometer inconspicuous.

Super hard to read. The numbers are small and the tick marks are confusing to tell where the temperature is actually at... I have to pull the thermometer out of the tank to see it properly. I do not recommend this thermometer.

I know exactly what you're thinking. You wanna just get the digital one instead, because it'll display the temp more obviously. After months of thinking my heaters were crap, I realized my digital thermometer was inaccurate. I was shocked when I realized my tropical tank had been in the 90s! When I bought this one, i bought a two-pack of digital thermometers as well, and as of now, the one I've had on in the tank is displaying inaccurate again. It might be a battery thing, but since the damn thing doesn't tell you when the battery is low, you end up thinking the heater is off. The glass is scary to have in the tank to some people, but at the end of the day MERCURY DOESN'T NEED BATTERIES TO TELL YOU THE TEMP. Just bite the bullet and get this lovely little one. I only use this one now and am quite satisfied with my results.

A bit difficult to read at first but it’s for NANO tanks after all. It is a 4 incher and will satisfy your needs.
