When I press the remote at the 8&9 buttons, nothing happens. Any suggestions?** A: Well, this was frustrating. I hav had one of the keyless remotes for about 2 years and the batteries died. I replaced them but then the remote would not work. So I went down the re-programming rabbit hole! It took awhile but the programming finally took. You may have to do it over and over and over again, but your will get it. 1. Put the batteries in. 2. Hole #3 until the LED’s in the middle blink. 3. Using a remote that you know works, hold the remote button as you place it near the #3 and slowly bring it down to the #’s 8-9. Also, remove the metal clip as this will sometimes interfere with the programming, I am told. 4. The lights will blink letting you know you are in program mode. 5. Set your 4 digit code. 6. Press the arrow key. 7. Lights should blink to let you know it is set. Test your WKE remote! It took me at least 25 tries but finally it worked. On the back of your hand held remote it has the MHz that your door uses, hopefully it will be 315 MHz and you will be good to go, if not you will have to get a different keypad, or an adapter for this keypad.
