Entire unit sitting on a table is about 14" from the bottom of the cup holder (2" thick) to the top of the phone holder (2" thick). It does jiggle a little on rough roads but I'm happy with it. It could have been a little longer but it works for me. **Q: Is there a trick to lessen the phone wiggling, or is that to be expected to some degree?** A: The phone didn’t wiggle as I really tightened the cup holder portion; but, I quit using it as it is in an awkward position in my SUV. It sits too low and I have to look down to see it which can be dangerous. **Q: Will a note 5 fit in the holder ?** A: It should.
