I use it for my little boys and just flip it over to drain, since it is not that big. If you drill a whole in it and use a rubber cap, it should work though. Good luck... My only problem with the pool...otherwise I loved it...is the umbrella is made of a thin plastic, it had a hole within a few days but I put tape on it and it worked fine. **Q: Will this pool support one petite adult female for an afternoon of day drinking and trying to beat the heat?** A: It’s sturdy enough to hold a petite person for sure. Probably even me and I’m 150 lbs. BUT, I’m 5’9” and I can barely fit leg from my foot to my ankle in this thing lol I day drink in a blow up adult day drinking/tanning backyard thingy and it’s great. **Q: So to completely remove the umbrella pole you have to unscrew the plastic holder thingie, correct?** A: Yes, the top umbrella part comes off easily but the bottom half needs to be unscrewed.
