It is great for small adjustments of your work, and is very easy to use. recommended only for small jobs. **Q: Are there more narrow versions available? I need to cut 1/16" and 1/8" wide slots.** A: DO NOT GRIND AWAY PART OF THE MOVING CUTTER. This will not work. The non-moving part of the tool is also part of the cutter. If the moving part of the cutter is reduced in size, the material will not be cut and will just bend over without fully cutting it off. You then need to use a Dremel tool to rescue your material from the nibbler... **Q: how wide does the jaw open? I want to cut a plastic fan case to install a toggle switch. I dont want the mess of a dremel, file, or grinder.** A: This thing works like a champ for cutting thin sheet metal. I've tried several nibblers and this is my favorite. I am a tool and die maker and make shims daily that include far thinner material.
