Here I as expecting a model that was the size of adult teeth, or a little bigger.  No.  This is gigantic!  The brush is 11 inches long as pictured!  The "hinges" are spiral goose necks like found on some lamps.  This can allow for demonstrating jaw positions, as well as opening the jaws entirely flat.I purchased for the price and to try instructing my daughter who is having a hard time brushing.  The very lightweight nature of the model is concerning as the overall durability is suspect.  As long as it is treated like a model and not a toy I expect it to last quite well.
