Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  doing away with my old smoke detectors which need battery replacement almost every year I bought this smoke detectors which do not require battery to be replaced for 10 years because they have several lithium-ion batteries inside.The size of these smoke detectors is also so small. Because of which they do not add any ugliness to the walls or ceiling. They look elegant and match well with the ceiling colors.when the smoke detection happens there alarm is pretty loud and definitely audible throughout the home no matter where the alarm is ringing.I have placed one smoke detector in my basement one in each bedroom and one in the living room.mounting them is also very easy because they have provided two kinds of mounting hardware. One hardware which includes screws and anchors to mount it in the wall or ceiling directly. If we do not want to drill any holes into the wall they also provided two-sided metal mounting hardware which has 3M large stickers which hold the light-rated smoke detectors effortlessly.Value for money.

The magnet failed which resulted in the alarm falling about ten feet, which then resulted in the alarm going off and I had to pry it open and cut the wires to get it to stop chirping. I liked the magnet feature because it was easy to mount but someone in product engineering needs to work on the durability of the magnet!

3 out of the 4 did not work. The first one activated just as it states it should on the instructions but the other 3 didnt active and "failed". Didn't make the beeping noise or light up red when they were supposed to activate after holding down the button for 5-10 seconds. Pretty disappointing. Bought these specifically for the magnetic back and free hardwire installation but will have to purchase new ones from somewhere else now. Wasted money. Also tried googling on how to try and fix these or troubleshoot them to get them to activate and there was nothing.

Small size which is nice, but comes with a trade off. I know it says it’s 85 decibels but I disagree. With the TV on or a door shut you’d barely hear it. Not good if your a heavy sleeper or basement fire happening when you’re on the top floor. But if you had a small studio apartment that should work.

Neither of the two units I received had any documentation or functioned

This was a highly rated detector so I made my purchase based on that and the price. Installed four of them and expect they will work as described.
