I put a tee into water line to hand pump and a tee into city water line and used this pump to transfer water pressure from on board water tank into city water line so the 2-way low hand pump works like it has city water, just push down handle to turn on water release handle water stops. The pump has automatic adjustable pressure switch to turn off the pump when pressure is reached. Wired 12 volt electric supply through external switch to turn pump off when not used. There was no instructions with pump so had to test for water flow direction ( water in and out ) The water connections are a simple barbed fitting for 3/8 plastic tubing and use the white plastic fittings shown in the picture with the pump to form a compression fitting to pump. It would be nice to have instruction explaining water connections so one would know what fittings and size to buy. I didn't realize the white caps supplied on pump were actually part of the compression fitting. So I bought parts that were not necessary for connections. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Nice little pump that falls between useless toys and medium capacity pumps. *by C***B on Reviewed in the United States on December 12, 2013* Interesting little pump that fits nicely between the aquarium pumps and larger water system pressurization pumps.I'm using this to tail off remaining bilge water that the high capacity pumps leave behind from a fairly deep sole (about 4 to 5 feet of head to get the water out of the boat. The pump self-primes reasonable well. (sometimes needs some agitation to get the flow started). I tested the pump about 3 feet above the sole and the rubber hose I used was not very stiff and prone to collapse and kinking (which might explain the intermittent self-priming). I'd recommend using a fairly stiff polypropylene hose of exactly the right diameter. Once primed, the flow was strong and consistent.A couple of other observations. The cut off switch is set for a fairly high pressure. When I attempted to test it, the pressure build up blew off the outflow side despite the hose having been stretched over the barb and the retaining cap having been screwed down well. As remarkable as it sounds, if the pump is going to be used to maintain pressure on the outflow side, you might want to consider a water pressure reservoir/buffer to slowly absorb the pressure build up. The plus side is that this means it's cable of pumping liquids up a large head (probably 10' or better and it would still work). The cut off switch electrics don't look like they're very waterproof, but I don't think the pump is meant to be submersible.Also, as shipped the pump smelled like it had been used to pump some sort of diesel or oil. Might just be lubrication oil used in the pump or something that they used to test the pump for QA before shipping. If you're going to use if for a fresh water system, you might want to inspect it before use.I didn't measure amp draw, but the motor didn't get very hot after several minutes of continuous use to pump out several gallons of bilge water.
