The screw holes are counter sunk for #4 wood screws. Using the supplied #6 wood screws makes the screw head protrude above the latch surface, making direct contact between the surfaces impossible. It is fairly thin or at least thin enough for what I needed. I will purchase more if other drawers start to wander.
