The leather is a good quality--firm and not so soft that it picks up every scratch. I have iphone 8 plus size. It holds the phone firmly and does not block any ports or buttons. It does make typing on the phone a little bit different since I fold the flap back behind the phone. It holds just enough important cards. I use it when I travel to keep phone/cards together vs having separate wallets that pose a risk of losing either. It's easier for me to keep track of one vs two items.
