I ordered this part 297366203 to replace part 297242003. I first ordered a refurbed part off ebay. That one did absolutely nothing so I returned it. This one arrived quickly and was well packaged. It didn't want to fit quite right at first. I needed to gently push the capacitors (I think) away from the pins to get it to seat. Once I plugged in, the freezer started up immediately and has been running fine for several days. So glad I didn't have to go through time, expense and hassle of replacing the old freezer. It controls everything from the compressor to the interior light. I couldn’t believe how easy this was to replace. It’s completely modular, and a putty knife to the edge and it was removed. The new unit came well packed and sealed, even with the original peel off plastic over the front. It took the usual 24h to re-stabilize the temperature, and the outside of my freezer was quite warm. I read this is normal. Eventually the temp went into my set range, and the compressor went into the normal cycle to maintain chill.
