Bought two, one for me one for her, to use with our new Lenovo tablets for backing up and transferring files. I already had the USB A version for my PC but the tablets need type C versions. I inserted 128Gb microSD cards in for transferring files to and from the tablets and they are recognised but I haven't tried anything with higher storage capacity. If you are transferring gigbytes of files in one go (as I did) the cards do get warm but the device doesn't. Works with Windows OS and Android but cannot say for anything else. Convenient size too btw, as it is small enough to slip in a pocket and carry around with you.
