A: I don’t know what you consider “large” but these aren’t small knives, except for the paring knife. I have large hands for a woman and they feel fine to me.

**Q: Should these be sharpened on a whet stone or use a traditional sharpener?**
A: A whet stone would be best

**Q: How long do they hold an edge after sharpening?**
A: we touch them often with the provided stone but we also use them all the time and insist on a razors edge

**Q: How do I keep the knife handle shiny and keep them from breaking?**
A: Always hand wash the knives, never put them in the dishwasher.  I also purchased a magnetic wooden knife block so as to never put them in a drawer or even a conventional knife block, it looks great and is highly functional.
