## Questions & Answers

**Q: Could this be used to fuse mid-weight cotton (like joann’s home essentials) to roc-lon blackout lining fabric for a roller blind?**
A: No. The Hotfix is applied using the COTTON setting on your iron, no steam. The ironing directions for Roc-lon blackout lining fabric are:  Use a household steam iron, ironing board with pad and a damp pressing cloth. Make sure that the sole plate (bottom) of the iron is free from any dirt, rust, mineral build-up or damage that could soil or snag the fabric. The iron temperature should be set to polyester or synthetic (290º F – 350º F / 143º C – 177º C). Use the damp pressing cloth to eliminate direct contact between the iron and the fabric. Never allow a hot iron to come directly into contact with the coating. Steam must be used while ironing. Press both sides of the fabric remembering to use the damp pressing cloth on both sides. Make sure the fabric is clean so as not to iron in a stain.

**Q: has anyone used this to fuse sew in interfacing to fabric?**
A: Yes but I put a heat guard sheet over interfacing

**Q: Can this be used to repair old quilts to avoid sewing ? Is is just for basting or a permanent fix?**
A: It is permanent but if I were repairing an old quilt, I would put a piece of fabric under the damaged area and fusible beneath it and adhere new piece to batting first.  Then I would use smaller pieces of fusible to adhere damaged top to patch.  Finally, I would do small hand sewing at edges of damaged area to securely adhere edges to under layer and to prevent more fraying.

**Q: What is the difference between this and the hfa-4yd craft supply hot fix?**
A: Its not stiff. I am hand sewing on my'n with ease.
