Def keeps the cat from clawing the couch. I bought these on July 27 and probably got them 4 or 5 days later. I put them on that very day I received them and waited until all but one came off. I just reapplied them yesterday (Sept 29). Maybe her nails grow out slower than my other cat's nails or the glue is tougher, because I was amazed at how long these lasted. My other cat will get rid of the nail caps in 2 weeks or so. Maybe he's just more efficient at pulling them off. I do wish these came with an extra glue tube and maybe a couple extra nail caps in case a few are lost quickly.
