It's a good size: big enough that it doesn't disappear, without being huge. And it really does change color. Mine is a nice orchid pink in most lights and goes a very pretty blue-green in flouresent light. So far, it's the only one of these lab-created alexandrites I've found that changes color. The stone sparkles and it shows clear under a 10x jewelers loupe. It's well cut and well polished. The setting is substantial without getting in the way, showing off the stone, and the split shank adds a nice delicacy. Only down side it that it takes a while to arrive due to international shipping, so plan ahead if you need it by a certain date, but it's definitely worth getting. I bought a chain made for small bales since the bale was too small for the chain I typically use for my pendants.I have yet to see it turn blue but I think that's because I am rarely if ever in artificial light. So it perpetually stays a kind of purple-pink. I have no doubt that it changes with the light because I can see changes within the pink and purple range outdoors and inside my house which is mostly natural and warm light.Once covid is over and I can go into office and store settings I am sure I will see it change to blue in cooler, artificial light settings.I also purchased the matching ring and they are a pretty set.
