The included tool was indeed handy for removing the required trim to get at the stereo, nothing fancy but works fine. The connector itself is basic, this is my only issue, it does not have grooves to allow the blue plastic retaining clip on the harness connector to hold the aux input in, so make sure it is seated fully once you've pushed/clipped the harness back on. Worked fine with my cd53 part no 65. 12-6 943 430 once I had done so. Sound is clean with minimal distortion. Plenty loud.
