## Description

Season Four of Outlander continues the story of Claire and Jamie Fraser as they try to make a home for themselves in colonial America.

Review: Strays a bit from the books, but still a quality show - I have read the Outlander series (all of it, not just the 8 "big books") a couple times, and i have enjoyed the show. As always, it must have been difficult to condense these huge books with many, many characters and side stories into just a few episodes each year. I always find that I enjoy each episode more watching them again after watching the entire season. By then the changes from the books has sunk in, and I can enjoy the way the show was done more. My biggest disappointment content-wise is that when something is left out, it often seems to be the humourous parts of the books. There was plenty of stuff that was funny in this book (Willie and Ian in the latrine with the snake and Claire beating the bear over the head with a fish while Jamie is fighting for his life come to mind quickly). But the writers usually give a nod to those occurences somewhere even if it is just a quick clip at the beginning of the episode. (Yes, we all saw the snake slithering away at the beginning of what would have been the latrine episode). However, thank you Starz for offering these shows as a downloadable version onto my Kindle! We travel a lot to places where there is no internet, and it is great being able to download a show and take it with us for rainy days when we are sick of reading a book. My one disappointment is that we cannot load the episodes onto a computer and Kindles no longer have an HDMI interface, so we have no way to watch the downloaded shows on the larger screen of our trailer television. Boo! Any chance desertcart could fix that for us, please? We don't want to have to purchase the DVDs, too, and those don't work well in a car on on an airplane!
Review: dvd - love this series. dvd in great condition

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outlander is a superb show but did Sony make a little 'flub' on Season 4 disc 1?
*by P***L on May 30, 2019*

I truly hate that this review is turning into a hate fest for season 4. I personally watch the show for entertainment and found it entertaining and enjoyable. I also think that it has set us up for a very interesting season 5. One problem that I have had so far (I'm only on disc 2) is on disc 1. After the credits have run for episode 1 and before the opening of episode 2 there is a clip of how Ian won Rollo. Rollo actually alerted them to the intruders at the end of episode one so I was a little confused about why it was inserted where it is---it seems like it should have been part of episode one. I’m not sure if this was purposefully done or if it is an error in the making of the disc or perhaps it is just my disc. Has anyone else noticed this? The more I watch, the more I think it was intentional but I am not sure as to why. Post note—-I watched all discs and learned that these little inserts were additional content (deleted scenes that help build the story). I do love this show and can’t wait for season 5!!
