The gourds are rather small, but turn out to be a nice size in all reality. I would not purchase this product again, as I was looking for a gourd and bombilla to take to work, as well as to have one for home. It was such a wonderful tradition to experience, and I became very attached to it. I have been looking for a kit like this for ages that didn't cost an arm and a leg. Don't be fooled by the image, everything is the perfect size for a single person (I plan on keeping back one of the gourds for a backup or gift). The gourds are GORGEOUS, the bombillas are very well made, the thermos is perfectly sized, and the quality of the yerba is EXCELLENT. It includes instructions for the uninitiated on everything, from curing the gourd to various methods of brewing mate. My personal order also included a nice little surprise of free yerba mate tea bags for me to enjoy while waiting the 2 days to cure my gourd.
