Function aside, if your CV angles were severe enough to impinge steering, you'd feel a pulsation in your steering wheel that would likely vary with the angle that you were trying to steer -- After a 3" lift, you'll wanna get a full alignment, and at that height on a Tacoma, your castor angles will likely be at or beyond the adjustment available in the existing lower control arm adjustments. Not only did it straighten up the CV angles, it also took the bit if vibration I had in them (post lift) out.
