They are usually a hit or a complete miss. This is a miss. There is no “Nitro” to this. It is very flat and has a rough taste which is tough to stomach. Maybe I have a bad batch. I ended up trying two from the twelve, but the rest of it is going down the drain. I like my coffee black with no frills (I'm dairy free) and I had never tried nitro brew. To my knowledge, it was supposed to be smoother and less bitter, so I thought I'd give it a shot. To be completely honest, I really liked the packaging! The coffees came next day which was awesome. I immediately threw them in the fridge and tried one the next morning. The can recommends that you "Shake well, Pour hard" which I believe is supposed to activate the nitrogen (hence nitro brew) so it's important you pour it out of the can into a glass. You don't have to, but I think it's worth it. It didn't froth a ton (because it's from a can, not a tap) but I LOVED IT. It's definitely soooo smooth, with no bitterness which is what normally bothers me with cold coffee. It's definitely a different experience than cold brew coffee, but a good change. Since it doesn't have any fillers, you can add whatever you want, but plain is fine for me!
