I couldn't resist buying the Makin' Bacon after seeing it reviewed on YouTube. It's easy to use and very easy to clean up - just pour the bacon grease from the collection pan in a suitable container, put the three bacon racks in the pan, put the pan in the sink with some warm water & a little dishwashing soap. A few minutes later rinse, wipe the contents dry and repack with the clever twist on/off retainer. As easy as it gets - no need for a dishwasher! Getting the correct degree of bacon crispiness for your taste is not so easy. First, the bacon slices hang over the T shaped racks, and without fail the section of the slices on top (the middle of the bacon slice) is crispier than the sections on the bottom (the ends of the bacon slice). I believe this is because the grease runs down the slices as the bacon cooks and the top dries out first. Second, if you cook only a few slices (i.e. for one person) and use the high power setting on your microwave, there is a heck of a lot of splatter as the rapid heating of the bacon creates an almost explosive evaporation of water within the fat of the bacon. It's much better to use a lower power setting for a longer period of time. Third, if you really load up the Makin Bacon to the max, the bacon cooks quite slowly and the ends of some of the slices are undercooked. You also have to learn how to drape paper towels over the bacon to catch any splatter without the towels drooping into the grease collected in the pan. It takes patience and experimentation to get bacon the way you like it, and even then there will be some variation throughout the length of the slice. Of course the plus side of all this experimentation is that you get to eat the test specimens! Even with the above difficulties I recommend the product. It's inexpensive, works well with some initial trial and error, easy to clean up and a lot lighter than the old cast iron skillet.

This really works - easy to use, no mess, and the bacon was not greasy. It came out crispy and delicious!

I bought this dish to replace one that I cracked. Had the previous one for years and so glad I was able to find the exact same one. Great size and look and allows me to just pour out the grease. Wonderful product.

Messy

When my old microwave dish was dropped and got a crack in it, it was going to be a few week b4 another one would be delivered so I decided to ck for other ones and decided to try this one. It arrived and when I opened it, I wasn't impressed because it was so much lighter than my previous one. Well news flash to me, it proved me wrong. I absolutely love it. I love the way it cooks. My bacon came out perfect and what's even better is the cleanup. The other dish I have to soak in bleach for the longest because it stains so bad. This one the clean up is just a matter of dumping the grease, putting it in the dish water and it looks brand new. I definitely would recommend and will be buying a backup, perhaps 2 backups and I think it will make amazing gifts if you don't know what to give someone for Chritmas or abirthday present

This is my second one of these lost first in a move and loved it so much I replaced. Keeps the bacon out of grease and easy to save grease if desired. I do cover top with paper towel to minimize clean up🥰

My family used to use the round with ridges styled microwave bacon dish but found that you could only cook about 4-5 slices at a time and the ridges at the base of the dish created lots of extra surfaces to clean (nobody liked to clean after use). This bacon dish solves both problems. Can cook many strips of bacon at one time, is easily cleaned at end of use and is BPA free. Excellent product!

Very pleased with the Mak'n Bacon

This item works really well. I put the strips on in one minute increments and check them after. This is a handy little kitchen addition to have. Easy to use, no splatter, simple clean up. Excellent. Glad I bought.

Pretty good. It does work but if you are looking for crispier bacon, I find that the ends (touching) tend to stick together. Wider racks would help that but does it really need it?
