I have two pendant lights in my kitchen on the same switch as the ceiling lights. The kitchen gets little natural light and the lights are on 8-10 hours a day. I got tired of changing the halogen bulbs every 6-8 months and wanted a longer lasting option. These were a good substitute, but the 50 watt equivalent bulb produces less light than the 35 watt halogen bulbs they replaced (rated at 600 lumens). They are closer in color to 2700 K than 3000 K. Of course they look different and are slightly bigger so they won't fit under the protective glass mantle provided for the halogen bulbs. Not an issue as they run very cool, but this might be a consideration in a more visible setting. Overall I'm happy with the product and quick delivery, but wanted to comment that light output is slightly less than a 35 watt halogen, even though listed as a 50 watt equivalent and that is the reason for the 4 star rating. I'm not sure why, but this seems to be a common problem with LED bulbs compared to halogen bulbs, so "order up" in wattage equivalency. Obviously, I can't speak to their longevity at this time, but that usually isn't an issue with LED bulbs.

I received the five led bulbs the day before, Wednesday. One bulb failed within 5 minutes the day I plugged it in the light fixture and another one failed one day after. The remaining three are working. I wonder, however, how long these remaining three would work. Two out of five failed in less than two days? Amazon shall not sells such defective products on its website. I demand a refund at least for the two defective bulbs. If Amazon wants me to return the defective bulbs, please send me the instruction. Amazon should pay for logistics. So disappointing.

The bulbs are too large to fit into most fixtures where they would replace typical GY6.35 halogen bulbs. I did manage to fit them into one fixture. They bulbs flicker and do not give off the same quality of light as the halogens. I would not buy them again and threw out 3 of the 5 bulbs.

Color rendering is outstanding - nice, natural and warm. Just fit inside desk lamp refector and glass assembly, replaceing original halogen 12v gy6.35 pin bulb. Well designed plug and play led replacement bulb.

Runs cool. I had lots of problems with halogen bulb overheating, oxidizing the contacts and failing. Now the lamp is cool, the light is bright, and power consumption is greatly reduced.

Great idea replacing the halogen bulbs that burn hot and use a lot more power. However, after one year all my bulbs have burn’t out. So much for LED long life.

Was impressed with the brightness but sadly all 5 bulbs blew within a month. Poor quality. Waste of money.
